  • Yoonivision Zion Wright

I remember being at Tampa Am a couple years ago and seeing Zion skate for the first time. Here's the thing with those am contests: There are a lot of skaters in them—A LOT. There are few that you remember, and then there are the very few that you don't. Not because they are worse or better, it's just too much to take in such short of a time. Now the ones you remember are the special ones. They're the ones that separated themselves from the hundreds of skaters because of what they did and how they did it. At that Tampa Am, Zion was one of them for me. I remember saying to myself, "I'll be at work with the lights out shooting photos of him, for sure." I predicted right. Great job on the Recruit, Zion! —Yoon
