ADIDAS INTRODUCES THE SAMBA ADV — Video Featuring TX, Benny, Tyshawn

The adidas Samba is a classic that has been in production for 65 years, and beginning January 1st you can get a pair of a specially designed ADV version of the shoe—built for skateboarding. Rodrigo TX, Benny Fairfax, and Tyshawn Jones braved the polar vortex to try out the Samba ADV in New York City recently and the video shows that the Samba ADV is just right for any weather condition.

Originally introduced in the ’50s, the Samba was designed as a way for hardcore soccer aficionados to enjoy the game, even in the unforgiving winter chill when it can feel like your feet are fighting the tundra. Skaters all over the world suffer a similar scenario, and adidas recognized this pretty quickly—drawing a parallel to the Samba and reimagining the model as functional for skateboarding.

adidas Skateboarding knows the demands of skateboarding, so this updated Samba ADV meets the needs of comfort, board control, and grip. The shoe also features a suede and leather upper for durability, internal mesh bootie for responsive fit, molded heel clip for support, directional tread for precision grip, molded sockliner and the classic cupsole. And they look tight.
