CHRIS JOSLIN — Dew Tour Interview
There’s no doubt that BATB X Champion Chris Joslin is one of the best skateboarders in the world. The drive and determination that he shows in his video parts and during contests is unparalleled. In this new interview from Dew Tour, Joslin reveals where his motivation comes from.
Like many skaters, Chris did not have an easy childhood. He grew up in a rough area and even had a gun pulled on him for being sponsored.
“The neighborhood that I grew up in was kind of a gang-related area, I would say. There was definitely more violence than skateboarding. I had a gun pulled on me at one point over some stupid shit once they found out I was getting boxes. They were like, ‘We’re going to take you, rob you, and take all of your boxes.’ You see what’s going on. You see what you could become. But you don’t want to become it. You just want to get out of there. But you always know that at the end of the day, there is that chance that you might not.”
