SB: You're from where?

CP: A small logging town called Stillwater. It's the birthplace of Minnesota!

You moved here when?

I moved to Los Angeles four years ago but I've been in California for about eight or nine years.

You skated for who?

My first sponsor was a skate shop by the name of Fobia, around the same time a company out of MN called Roots hooked me up. After that A friend of mine started doing graphics for Consolidated so i rode for them. I've been really lucky to ride for companies that I'm into and that support skateboarding.

Now you skate for who?

Now I ride for Stereo and its the best.

And who else?

WESC clothing, Osiris shoes, autobahn wheels, Sun Diego mail-order

Are there any other skaters from where you're from that have gotten sponsored or turned pro?

Yes, Steve Nesser, Seth Mccallum, Emric Pratt and then all the dudes before us. Navs. All the Vert guys. I feel blessed to have grown up skating and not worrying about getting sponsored. It never was on our minds and it shouldn't be on anyone's mind who's just starting out. I've seen a certain sponsorship obsession with the new generation and I feel sorry for them. Have fun first!
