Contrary to popular belief California is not one big skatepark. You can’t just go outside and skate anywhere and not get hassled by property owners, pedestrians, teachers or cops. It just doesn’t happen that way, no matter how much you wish it or we wish it. But the weather permits us to be creative. It doesn’t freeze our windshields, cover our streets and numb our bones with wind, snow, sleet or rain and because of this fact California has always been considered Mecca. Over the past few months I’ve received numerous videos showing me that when the temperature drops and the snow and rain cover your favorite spots, you not only don’t give up, you get creative.
