Two painstaking years of blood, sweat, and tears in the streets, this is David Reyes, as presented by Etnies. Incredible handrail control, solid style, and overall gnarly skating—enjoy the ride.
There's a mindset today, especially in America, whereupon doing things the easy way is doing things the best way. Everyone who's left skin on the concrete or blood on the stairs, or limped to the car after trying a trick for two hours, knows this to be untrue. There is no easy way when filming in the streets, even to the most talented skateboarders we have. Whether it be security, the cops, the run-up, the neighbors, the concrete, the traffic, the pedestrians, your set-up, the rain, sleet or snow, or the fact that you just can't fucking do it, there is always, always, always a process to getting what it is you want so badly. David Reyes tells us about the process for getting the backside noseblunt ender for his Etnies part, just 12 hours before it premiered on The Berrics. Enjoy. -- sb
They say that proximity to power is power. And it comes to follow that the most coveted offices in Washington are those in the West Wing of the White House. The same could be said about The Berrics. When we're not skating Berrics HQ, we're a few miles west at Explore The Berrics, Westchester—our very own version of the West Wing. The same level of skating, the same crews, the same power. Just a different location. Here we have Tampa Am 2013 winner, Jack Olson. Congrats on the win!

POWELL-PERALTA GIVES BRENDAN VILLANUEVA EXTENDED CUT TREATMENT
But, Wait... There's More

Just as the best skaters in America hang out and skate at The Berrics, you'll find Europe's best at the DC Embassy in Barcelona. Max Genin of Grenoble, France and Jorge Simões of Porto, Portugal are two regular Embassy rippers. While you may or may not know who they are by now, this euro Double Bangin' right here should prove that they can hold their own out in the good ol' U. S. of A. Never judge a skater by his accent.
Trickipedia is not a Trick Tips section, but that doesn't mean you're not going to learn. Trickipedia is the general education page for skateboarding tricks started by the Berrics so that future generations understand the difference between frontside and backside and that there is no such thing as switch nollie half cabs. Each week one of Skateboarding's best will help fill Trickipedia's pages until it is the most comprehensive reference work on the planet. This week Brandon Biebel revisits switch varial heelflips — this time in HD. Check out the original version handled by Richard Angelides back on June 22, 2010. If you have any suggestions of who you would like to see do certain tricks in the future feel free to drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We were lucky enough to talk to David Reyes just hours before his Etnies part premiered last night to get some insight about how it all went down. This one's for all the vertically-challenged skateboarders out there. Dig it
