The D.I.Y. (AKA do it yourself) maxim has always been a driving force in skateboarding. Operating outside society’s confines has bred skateboarders into some of the most resourceful creatures on earth. Every skateboarder has trespassed a school yard hauling over lights and a generator, or simply built a ramp behind a grocery store with crates and plywood. The fact is, every day skateboarders pay homage to the DIY nature permeating throughout our lifestyle. It is our initiative in reposting our favorite DIYorDIE stories, we prompt you to tag your favorite DIY spots using the hashtag #OurDIY.
