ETNIES X BONES COLLABORATION — Homage to the Eighties

Today, etnies and Bones dropped its collaboration collection paying tribute to the brands’ humble beginnings. Matt Berger, Chris Joslin and Trevor McClung lead the alliance in commemorating the brands’ 30-year legacies with a sick video that will definitely bring back some teary-eyed recollections. It was all so simple then—but you could say that it was just the calm before the storm. A storm that made the earth-shattering skating of Joslin, Berger, and McClung possible.

The etnies X Bones collection includes key pieces from Joslin and Berger’s favorite signature product that combine a black-and-white color palette with neon hits reminiscent of the ’80s.

“No one from my suburb really skated except me,” Berger says. “My dad used to film me in the backyard as I did my best to recreate the tricks of my favorite pros that I had seen in tapes. To this day, I still look to generations before me as inspiration to push myself and skateboarding.”

“It motivates me to watch older videos before I go skate,” says Trevor McClung. “From the way people approached spots to their unforced style; I’ve seen tricks in videos that have inspired me to approach a spot with a fresh perspective.”

The etnies X Bones collection is now available on etnies.com and at your local skate shop.
