It gets so cold at night in Winnipeg that sometimes Fahrenheit and Celsius meet. That's -40. I lived in Winnipeg for 4 months while shooting The Good Life. The snow didn't melt for the first three I was there. One storm piled on top of the other until the corners of every block were just walls of ice and the streets looked like tracks I should be riding down in a bobsled instead of a car. The land is so flat there they say if your dog runs away you could watch him go for three days. And despite all of that adversity, Winnipeg is home to the biggest skatepark in North America, an incredibly caring film commission and the BEVERETTS. We all have our reasons as to why we skate and boiled down to its core, those reasons become one reason and it's universally the same. Whether it's in the bone cold where fahrenheit and celsius meet or in the boiling hot sun, we'll find a way to do what we do. The guys at the Beveretts have, and we at the Berrics would like to make their star shine a little brighter because if I said it once I've said it a million times... we're all in this thing together.
