SEAN CLIVER HANGS OUT WITH JEFF GROSSO ON VANS’ LOVELETTERS TO SKATEBOARDING

This week on Vans’ "Loveletters To Skateboarding" the topic is graphics, and Grosso chose one of the most compelling—and supremely knowledgable—artists in the game to give us a brief historical rundown: Sean Cliver.

Cliver’s history working on skate graphics stretches back to the ’80s (he answered a “help wanted” ad to work at Powell-Peralta, which seems so quaint now), and he is known for some very provocative work for World Industries… ahh, those were the days. His more recent recent projects are Paisley Skateboards (every deck was faithfully screened), and Strangelove Skateboards, which will be releasing a very interesting foray into revisionist history: What if Jed Walters—from World’s 1992 Love Child video—had turned pro?
