JAKE WOOTEN TAKES THE VANS PARK SERIES CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Jake Wooten got buckwild in Huntington Beach last weekend for Vans Park Series' Continental Championship, taking the top spot. If, perchance, you're thinking, "Jake Who-ten?"… 18-year-old Wooten is from Tennessee, and he made a bit of a splash in the Woodward TV series, Camp Woodward [streaming on Hulu]. He's entered over 3 dozen contests since then, notably winning the Woodward miniramp SKATE contest "Mano a Mano" a few months ago.

Wooten's winning run (included in full courtesy of Santa Cruz Skateboards' Instagram account) demonstrates a little old mixed with new, and a resilient Energizer bunny-esque stamina—the two tricks he ends with are virtually impossible when even lightly fatigued.

Congrats Big Jake! Next stop: the VPS 2018 World Series in China, coming in October.
