We're back this week to give you a fully tested review of the DC Fix S X Berrics shoe. As you may remember, John Dilorenzo from Florida was our lucky winner and received a couple pairs from the good people at DC. We asked John to film with the DC Fix S X Berrics shoe and to give us his take on it. John and long time filmer, Mikey Glover got on their mission right away. As difficult as it may have seemed, we asked John to skate the shoes for 20 hours and this video is a result of that.
This is definitely no easy task by any means. John and his crew have been filming for there upcoming video "Florida Daze" and scheduling has been pretty hectic. The video is directed by Mikey Glover and has been in production for over 2 years now. As we approached John to do this shoe review, he was just putting the finishing touches on his video part. Regardless of scheduling deadlines, Mr. Dilorenzo somehow came through with this part and I think he's all used up. He's practically been put through a skateboarding marathon and for that we thank him.
When asking John about the DC Fix S X Berrics shoe he told me that he loved how the super suede held up to it's remarkable standards and how durable the vulcanized sole was for such a thin model.
I also asked "If you had the opportunity to add your own change to the shoe, what would you do?"
-Definitely more padding on the insole. Maybe a little more support around the collar too, it wouldn't hurt.
After exchanging words with John I can tell that he's really pleased with the shoe. It's a thin model that's ideal for any place with warmer weather and it's construction is the type that would conform with any type of skating. What I liked most about the video was how thorough John was. He skated all types of terrain from gaps, stairs and ledges. He's a perfect example of how well this shoe skates anywhere, anytime.
If you want to read our extended interview with John Dilorenzo and find out a bit more about his experience with the DC Fix S X Berrics shoe, visit RippedLaces.com. There you'll be able to find out more about his recent good luck with finding money on the floor and how it feels to be the last skater in the world with skinny jeans. Be sure to keep an eye out for his Florida Daze part. It should be out in a few weeks.
Thanks to DC, John Dilorenzo for killing it and Mikey Glover for all of his hard work.
Peace!
