In 2002, after receiving thousands of emails from parents and skaters across America who didn’t have a safe, legal place to skate, Tony Hawk decided to establish a nonprofit foundation to help fund and facilitate the construction of public skateparks. Fast-forward 13 years later, and the Tony Hawk Foundation has given over $5.2-million to 557 public skatepark projects in all 50 States. Need a skatepark in your town?
