PAUL RODRIGUEZ SIDELINED WITH A SERIOUS KNEE INJURY

You may have noticed the giant knee brace that Paul Rodriguez was wearing in his episode of Complex Closets. It turns out that he recently suffered a very serious knee injury that resulted in a torn ACL, meniscus, and MCL. P-Rod breaks it down starting at the 5:03 mark of the latest episode of The Nine Club Experience.

I was trying a half-Cab flip down a nine-stair. I popped late. My board just kind of [got away from me]. I remember thinking I was going to fall down on top of my board. My instinct was to try to maneuver to the side of it. And my right leg landed first. My upper body went one way, and my right leg was planted. So I couldn’t get it to go with me. And I just felt it pop out, then back in.

Watch the entire episode above. And for a reminder of where Paul’s skating was pre-injury, revisit his raw clips from Primitive’s Never which dropped a few weeks ago. Get well soon, P-Rod.
