POPULIST 2016 — Alec Majerus
With two heavy video part releases early in the year (adidas’ “Away Days” and Volcom’s “Holy Stokes!”), Alec Majerus hit the ground running. Both videos featured his propensity for seeking out rails with the most kinks and pushing the tech further. Amazingly, he continued this momentum, releasing an X-Games “Real Street” part and competing in BATB9. In September, The Berrics posted his latest Bangin. It was an overwhelmingly gnarly example of someone who is ahead of his time (tricks include a 360 flip frontside feeble and frontside 270 to frontside noseslide). At only 21 years old, Alec is poised to change the future of skateboarding.
