Without Danny Way there would be no Berrics. Without Danny Way there would’t be a lot of things. Danny was a giant killer who would later become a giant. At 14 years old he made 20 year old pro skaters look like senior citizen rollerbladers. He has always been light years ahead of his time in terms of trick progression and that thing that makes him Danny Way, his style and power on a skateboard. He has influenced every single one of the people who influence you and if they disagreed with that, they’d be lying. He was my childhood idol and he’s a year younger than me. Waiting for Lightning tells the story of one of the greatest friends skateboarding has ever seen and ever will. It screens tonight in Hollywood and we are giving away tickets.
