2018 SLS PRO OPEN LONDON PHOTO GALLERY
All eyes on Yuto Horigome.
The 2018 SLS Pro Open London went down at the Copper Box Arena this past Sunday. With it being a Qualifier for both men and women, there was plenty of excitement and new faces on the course in London. In the women’s division on Saturday Jenn Soto took the win followed by Lacey Baker and Mariah Duran. Saturday’s men’s qualifier cut down the field with only the top 7 guys advancing to Sunday: Ivan Monteiro, Trent McClung, Gustavo Ribeiro, Vincent Milou, Alex Midler, TJ Rogers, and Mason Silva.
Sunday was a long day of intense heats and the first time the new SLS picks of Jamie Foy, Elijah Berle, Zion Wright, Mark Suciu, and Taylor Kirby hit the course to mix it up with the SLS Pros (Milton Martinez was out hurt). With a number of the heavy hitters out of commission with injuries, it was a perfect opportunity for the new guys to come up. By the end of the night, of the top 8 finalists, half were rookies. Yuto Horigome seemed untouchable after his two high-scoring runs and cruised through for his first ever Street League win. France’s Vincent Milou came through in every clutch situation and earned second place, followed by Kelvin Hoefler in third. Vincent Milou and Trent McClung were the two top scoring skaters from the qualifier group which ensured their slots in the 2018 SLS lineup.
