ACTIVE OFFERS 100K TO FOUR SO CAL SCHOOLS

Active Ride Shop

Active Ride Shop is ubiquitous in So Cal, with 25 physical store locations in the region. And, with a 30th anniversary coming up next year, the retail mainstay has demonstrated an enviable longevity in an industry that has been fraught with all sorts of turmoil lately. But instead of counting its lucky stars and running off with the loot, Active is once again giving back in a big way: offering $25,000 to four area high schools to help fund their athletics programs.

The cash commitment, cleverly dubbed “Active 4 Schools,” will be determined by a tally of votes, with each student voting for his or her school. Voting starts today and ends on September 3.

Active’s President Jenner Heller explains the decision behind this generous commitment: “Based in Southern California, we know schools are underfunded and it’s important to Active that we help our communities with funding for youth programs. Kids are passionate about the activities they participate in and we want to do our part in enabling them to live an Active lifestyle.”

To participate in the giveaway, you’ll need to pop in to any Active store and plop a digit on a retail associate’s iPad screen. Easy peasy, high school squeezy. For more information on the school districts that are eligible, and the concurrent “free sock” promotion, visit the Active 4 Schools $100,000 Giveaway page.
