ADIDAS X ARI MARCOPOULOS — Inspired by The Big Apple
adidas Skateboarding partnered with photographer Ari Marcopoulos for an exclusive zine PLUS a limited edition footwear and apparel collection! Inspired by the artist’s signature documentary photography style, 90’s lo-fi zine publishing, and the creative spirit of New York City skate culture, “AIGHT” is a modern take on Marcopoulos’s work which captured New York City skateboarders in the ’90s.
With today’s announcement, adidas Skateboarding also released the video for the “AIGHT” zine. The new video features Ari Marcopoulos, adidas team riders Mark ‘Gonz’ Gonzales, Tyshawn Jones, Nestor Judkins, Kevin Lowry, Frankie Spears, and friends, skating the streets of New York.
