πŸ“’ Emergency support for skaters in Lebanon πŸ‡±πŸ‡§ A few days ago a deadly explosion in the port of Beirut decimated the city. Skaters in Beirut are among the injured as well as those whose homes were destroyed. With the catastrophe and economic crisis, skateboarding in Beirut is nearly impossible and skate gear has become completely unaffordable. Most basic gear like griptape and bearings are unavailable. Together with the skaters of Beirut we have launched a Skate Relief Fund (link in bio). The funds will help with purchasing decks from local skate company @extinctskateboards, providing gear such as trucks, bearings, griptape, wheels, and supporting skaters with immediate disaster relief such as medical expenses, reconstruction, and clean-up. Skateboarding is one of the few outlets left for the mental and physical health of many young people in Beirut. Thank you for your support πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ πŸ“·: @kaourov #LebanonSkateRelief #BeirutSkateboarding #Beirut #Lebanon #makelifeskatelife #extinctskateboards

‘Make Life Skate Life,’ an organization that builds skateparks in underrepresented communities, have launched a fundraiser to help support the Lebanese skateboarders affected by Tuesday explosion in Beirut. ‘Skate Relief Fund’ will funnel donations to local skate company Extinct Skateboards to help fill in the gaps until the skate product pipeline opens up again, and also pay for immediate disaster relief in the skate community. Visit MLSL’s site to donate.
