Chris Joslin Leaves Etnies After 7 Years

Chris Joslin dropped a bombshell on his Instagram today by announcing that he has left his shoe sponsor of seven years, Etnies. Mr. Unstoppable revealed the stoppable sponsorship relationship with little clue as to what caused the rift. The brand has yet to comment, but the word among industry chatterboxes is that the pro was tired of his shoes lasting so long: a behind-the-scenes insider told us that Joslin missed the feeling of “making a hole” in his shoes. For seven years he has been throwing out perfectly good pairs of his used pro models simply because he has more pairs on deck waiting for him. The insider said, “Bro, not being able to destroy his shoes? It’s starting to make Chris feel inadequate.” See below for Joslin’s official comment:
“For the last 7 years of constant support and giving me the opportunity to have my own shoe with the brand! The company will forever hold a special place in my heart. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. I Wish everyone at the brand the best and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
