COREY DUFFEL GIVES YOU THE GOOD, BAD, AND BROKEN MOMENTS IN ‘MANIMAL’
Corey Duffel, the Timex of Skateboarding (takes a licking and keeps on ticking), is the subject of the documentary Manimal. Directed by Joey Sinko, this is the second Duffman doc in as many weeks—the previous one, by Michael Cukr, was released at the end of last month—and there still seems to be enough story left for a box set.
Manimal (which originally premiered on Jenkem last Wednesday) packs a ton of archival clips and hard-to-watch bails into its 35-minute runtime. It wouldn’t be a true celebration of Duffel’s career without all the cringe-inducing slams; the bails are as much a part of his mystique as the makes are. This guy has lived a life—and, honestly, he shouldn’t be alive.
