Corey Duffel Teases ‘Adored Skateboarding’ Launch With Nostalgic Video

Corey Duffel is on the cusp of launching his new board brand, Adored Skateboarding, one and a half years after leaving his longtime sponsor Foundation—and it’s looking dope! A man of many interests, Duffel is determined to make Adored a sort of tribute to every artistic pursuit that has inspired his skateboarding over the years; the intro video for the brand released yesterday and it covers ALL the bases, paying homage to music (The Cry’s ‘Alone,’ featured in the immensely influential 1989 H-Street video Hokus Pokus), art, and literature (Duffel gets hyped for the sesh by thumbing through his tattered copy of Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark). The Duffman appreciates a lot of things.

Matthew and Brett Celestre filmed and edited this teaser, announcing a limited run of boards for the Adored launch, with a special appearance by cutie Blixa. It’s rad to see Duffel getting back to his roots, and reminding us that skateboarding doesn’t always have to be about insane sky-high progression… sometimes you just have to roll around in the dirt to bring yourself back down to earth. Duffel has been a friend of The Berrics for many years—he even organized a fundraiser in the park back in 2013. Check out some of his projects with us below:
