The long-awaited video from BLIPS’ Dan McGee and Kevin Parrott had its online premiere at Free Skate Mag, and it is one of those videos that grabs you right at the beginning and doesn’t let go. Cover Version (so named because its creators envisioned it as a loving imitation of the great ’90s videos that influenced them) has many things in common with McGee’s previous official full-length, Blueprint‘s Make Friends With The Colour Blue from 2010, but the most important bit is that it just makes you want to go out and skate. (In an interview with Free, McGee joked that the working title may have been Second Broadcast, in reference to 2001’s classic Blueprint video First Broadcast.)
Cover Version features Harry Lintell, Korahn Gayle, Manny Lopez, Charlie Munro, Carlos Cardenosa, Jak Pietryga, Zach Riley, Sam Murgatroyd, and Conor Charleson. Stateside, you can buy the USB stick version of Cover Version at Theories Of Atlantis. In the UK, it’s available at Palomino.com and Black Sheep store.
