On the latest episode of The Nine Club, Daniel Shimizu chats with Chris Roberts and co. about growing up in Rosemead, California; getting on Foundation Skateboards; getting asked to ride for Nike SB; filming for Foundation’s That’s Life; skating for Stereo Skateboards; Nike SB’s Nothing But The Truth; Heroin Skateboards; living with Justin Strubing; and “Useless Wooden Knowledge,” his skate trivia night.

Shimizu “retired” from pro skateboarding last year. He essentially made his debut in Foundation’s Nervous Breakdown [1999] and in the 20 years since he’s widely considered as one of the most stylish skaters ever.
