DC SHOES REISSUES DANNY WAY’S DW1

DC Shoes has reissued Danny Way’s DW1, which is the shoe that launched the brand. Originally released in 1994, the DW1 is Danny’s first pro model, and the shoe that he wore during some of his most iconic video parts. This reissue comes as a part of DC’s Heritage Collection—an initiative that has been capitalizing on ‘90s nostalgia by reintroducing the brand’s classic silhouettes. The DW1 follows the Lynx as the second retro release of 2018. There are two more models slated to come to market in January of next year.

To coincide with this drop, DC pays homage to Way’s impressive legacy in a commercial that highlights his contributions to skateboarding, and tells the story of how the DW1 came to be. From humble beginnings, DC launched a footwear empire with the DW1 that helped produce some of the most progressive skateboarding that the world has ever seen. Clearly, this shoe has earned its place in our history.
