Deluxe Re-releases Forties’ 1994 ‘Amigos’ Video, Featuring All The Legends

Deluxe Distribution‘s Forties Clothing was a grassroots operation, conceived, designed, and produced in the Bay. The brand’s 1994 video, ‘Amigos,’ was packed with legends and implanted San Francisco in the minds of skaters as the hill-filled mecca that was more than just the Embarcadero—it was the land of $3.75 super veggie burritos, $.25 bus transfers, and amazing thrift stores. That was 26 years ago; the city may be one of the most expensive in the world but it still retains much of that early-’90s flavor, and many of the spots in ‘Amigos’ are still standing today (but it’s hella expensive).

‘I hand-delivered in our old Astro van that smelled like teen spirit after a heavy session and 6 too many.’

DLX has re-released this classic video to their YouTube channel with the following caption by Tommy Guerrero:

“Forties was a clothing brand out of Deluxe spearheaded by Mr. Cornhole (aka TG) in the early/ mid 90’s. Basic attire, skate inspired goods for the everyday. The garments were cut and sewn in SF and Oakland, when you could still buy a burrito for under $5. I hand delivered all the bolts of fabric and parts (zippers/buttons/rivets, etc.) in our old Astro van that smelled like teen spirit after a heavy session and 6 too many. Ahh the good ol’ daze.”

‘Amigos’ features Jim Thiebaud, Natas Kaupas, Julien Stranger, Micky Reyes, Mike Daher, Julio De La Cruz, Ron Allen, Guerrero, and many more! Watch DLX’s Berrics Westchester ambush from 2012, below:
