NIKE SB’S ERIC KOSTON TALKS ABOUT HIS DESIGN INSPIRATION FOR THE AIR JORDAN I LOW

Berrics co-founder Eric Koston recently got the kind of full-circle opportunity that comes around maybe once in a career: redesigning his childhood favorite skate shoe for Nike SB. His shoe, the Air Jordan Low I by Eric Koston, represents his early days in skating when his family didn’t have the budget for the hottest new skate shoe. In this video form the brand, Koston fondly remembers hunting for bargains at second-string clearance stores like TJ Maxx and Ross and hitting paydirt once he found Jordan Is tagged at $24.99. (Those were the days.)

The Nike SB Air Jordan I Low by Eric Koston drops August 10 in The Canteen (enter our raffle here for a chance to buy!)and skate shops, and on August 12 at SNKRS.
