Eric Koston Shares His Obsessions In New ‘LEO’ Article

Eric Koston vs Mike Mo Capaldi: The First Game of S.K.A.T.E that inspired Battle At The Berrics.

It’s true: Eric Koston—the man, the myth, the legend—is indeed the co-founder of The Berrics (aka The Most Magical Place On Earth). And over the past three decades, Koston has been ahead of the curve in skateboarding, racking up the accolades and snatching the top honors; every day, the man with the Midas touch greets the morning sun with the determination that he WILL dominate anything he puts his mind to. But not without his cold brew. Or his Apple Watch. Definitely not without his e-bike. And, come to think of it, he needs his soft-top surfboard on dolo just in case the tide turns. Oh shit, we almost forgot about that scrum-diddly-umptious La Morra frozen pizza (if they ain’t got La Morra, then go to another store-a). Oh, and if they’re out of La Morra, no matter—his Traeger grill is fired up and ready to go. He’ll just chow down while he thumbs through the remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 (Koston was in the original line-up, by the way). These are just a few of his favorite things.

Men’s magazine Leo goes deep into all of these daily obsessions, and more, in the site’s ‘Stuff I’m Nerding Out On’ column. Read the article, here.

Koston is turning 46 next month. Take a look back at some of his many, many classic moments (below). If you’re interested in his 14-year history of Berrics videos, please click here.
