FILM TRUCKS’ 2019 ‘SLAPPY CHALLENGE’: NO OLLIES, NO PROBLEM
Jeremie Daclin’s Film Trucks puts on this crazy event in France every year involving launch ramps and a looooong ass Santa Monica round curb replica. It’s called the “Slappy Challenge”—and it’s downhill. This year’s featured slappers were Bevup (1st place), Arno Wagner, Bastien Marlin, Ace Pelka (2nd place), Vincent Millou, Gillaume Collucheese, Paul Hart, Mika Gazon (3rd place), Joey Brezinski, and JB Gillet. Ollies were few and far between, but the energy was impossible to curb.
The Berrics have become steadily more engrossed with slappys over the years, and we’ve even dedicated a few videos to the ancient art of smashing your trucks (and everything else). Check out these projects, and the recent Film Trucks video “Nouvelle Vague,” below:
