Sobreskate‘s ‘Slides & Grinds’ competition has become one of the most anticipated letter-based events… it’s like Battle At The Berrics, but with a ledge! The most recent match premiered yesterday with Gabriel Fortunato sliding and grinding against Daniel Vargas, and the the new ledge design is already paying off. One thing is clear: Brazil is dangerously close to running out of wax.
We featured Fortunato last year in our Next New Wave series, and ever since then he’s been participating in pretty much every event in skateboarding—from Street League to the King of MACBA Finals. Check out a few of his Berrics projects below:
