First Day Of Fall — September 22, 2016

Today is the first day of fall (or “the day after the last day of summer”). September 22 marks the “autumnal equinox” and, as a result, the sun sets earlier. It can get dark at like 4 P.M. (which kinda doesn’t make sense), so we don our reflective jackets and we attach headlights to the noses of our decks. Well, some of us do. Here’s a fascinating fact for you: it’s called “fall” because leaves fall to the ground. Skaters don’t subscribe to society’s seasonal “rules.” We fall all year round.
