Girl Skateboards Pays Tribute To Keenan Milton

Girl Skateboards honored the memory of Chocolate team rider Keenan Milton, who passed away 20 years ago, on July 5, 2001, by releasing a short video yesterday about his history in skateboarding. Always ahead of the curve, Milton—along with friends Steven Cales, Ben Liversedge, Keith Hufnagel, and Gino Iannucci—was incredibly progressive and consistent; his career may have only spanned a decade, but he definitely left his mark. (Sadly his best friend Hufnagel, who is also featured prominently in this doc, passed away on September 24 of last year.) Check out the 11-minute video, featuring a lot of footage from his early days that you’ve probably never seen before, above!

Girl and the Crailtap riders have been part of The Berrics’ story since before a single clip was filmed in our teeny, tiny Myers St. private warehouse. (Ty Evans put together an awesome ‘Skate Fairy’ episode devoted to the LA sanctuary in 2006.) Check out a random assortment of Crail projects from the past eleven years, below (thanks for the memories!):
