GRIFFIN GASS IS HOUSIN’ THIS LAKAI X EPMD PART
When Lakai announced this collab with legendary rap group EPMD, it was a little unexpected. The group has been woefully underused in skate soundtracks, where groups like Gang Starr seemed to thrive. The time has come for EPMD to get the recognition they deserve, and what better occasion than the 30th anniversary if the seminal debut album, Strictly Business?
And where does Lakai come in? Song titles like “You’re a Customer” and “You Gots To Chill” could essentially double as brand mottos. And with Griffin Gass letting the funk flow in his latest part, it’s a done deal: EPMD wants to be in the Lakai business.
