Birthday posts for known skaters are an everyday thing but some of them are just a little more special, and deservedly so. Today Heath Kirchart is celebrating his birthday, and it has come to the attention of the skateboard world as a whole that this man did so much to change skateboarding with his video parts over his 16-year professional career. If you’ve been stuck in a hole most of your life you might want to Google this man and watch his video parts and realize that he set the tone for a lot of what street skating is today. Happy Birthday, Big Dawg! Frontside Tailslide gap out at UCLA, a spot not many have ever stepped to and can be seen in the epic “Sight Unseen” video from 2001. —Swift
