INSTAGRAM TO LAUNCH IGTV VIDEO HUB FOR CREATORS

TechCrunch is reporting that the rumors of 60-minute Instagram video are true. And it’s being unveiled tomorrow! Instagram’s IGTV will allow users to upload vertical video from 15 seconds to 60 minutes in length. The platform has been meeting with creators and encouraging them to start producing 10-minute YouTube vlog-style videos as opposed to the one-minute clips currently allowed by the app. IGTV will function similar to Instagram’s Explore tab by allowing users to scroll through a variety of long-form videos. While vertical video could be considered a limitation, this is certainly going to be a game changer for Instagram skate edits moving forward.
