Kareem Campbell Interviews Tony Hawk On ‘The Ghetto Bird Show’
Kareem Campbell and Rob Cahill’s weekly ‘The Ghetto Bird Show’ (named after his famous trick) premiered their third episode yesterday, with an interview of the hardest working man in Skateboarding: Tony Hawk. This is the show’s first “interview” episode so they really came out swinging with this one! In the interview, Hawk talks about how he chose the pros for his Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game series, and its impact on the culture and the world at large; the quarantine; his company, Birdhouse; some tidbits about Campbell from back in the day; his son, Riley; and many, many more subjects. Campbell made news in June when Chad Muska declined his own nomination to the Skateboarding Hall Of Fame and suggested honoring Campbell instead (and encouraged his social followers to get the ball rolling with a few tags). Read our coverage of that announcement here.
