KELVIN HOEFLER WINS X GAMES OSLO
Kelvin Hoefler won the gold medal in the X Games Oslo Men’s Street contest over the weekend. Jagger Eaton and Felipe Gustavo took home silver and bronze, respectively. All will be competing at the SLS Pro Open later this week, with Eaton being a bit of a wildcard considering he earned his way into the contest through winning this year’s Tampa Pro. The big story here is with Hoefler and Gustavo both landing on the podium in Oslo, and Leticia Bufoni taking home the Women’s gold; Brazil’s Olympic skateboarding team is already making its presence felt on the contest circuit. We’ll be watching closely to see what transpires at the first Olympic-sanctioned skateboarding contest later this week in London. The run-up to the 2020 Tokyo Games is now officially underway.
