Felipe Gustavo Shares his Story for LA28

With the Olympics coming to LA in 2028, The Berrics (along with Nate Morley and WRKS Collection) produced a series of stories highlights the momentous occasion for LA28. In this video, Felipe Gustavo shares his story of coming to the USA from Brazil to pursue his dream, from learning how to speak English, applying for work visas, green cards, to finally getting his citizenship, what it’s like to live in LA – the skateboarding capitol of the world, his excitement for LA28, and what it meant to him to be the first skater to ever appear at the Olympics during the Tokyo 2020 Games.

“I was the first picked, you know, the first heat, the first skater… the first dude to ever compete in the Olympics… the first trick was going to be mine… I was honored to be that one.” – Felipe Gustavo on Tokyo 2020 Games
