LEICA SOFORT INSTANT CAMERA GETS A MURDERED OUT MAKEOVER

With a recent matte black update, Leica’s Sofort instant camera has a facade that’s just as striking as its technical innards. This is a pretty interesting camera—it’s as if Ferrari manufactured its own version of a VW bug. That is to say… understatedly classy in its utility.
The Sofort’s “sport and action” setting employs a mechanical shutter shoots at 1/400th of a second, which is fast enough to freeze the occasional skate shot. Have you ever tried shooting a skate photo with a Polaroid? To be generous, the effect is “artsy” at best. (Other settings include Macro, Bulb, Automatic, Self-timer, Party and People, Double Exposure, and Selfie.) But overall this is more for life’s in-between moments. Basically, it’s just the right amount of camera.
The murdered out Leica Sofort is only $299. Check out the Leica site for all the details and for a retailer near you.
