LESS THAN LOCAL’S “THE NEW BOSSES” CUTS TO THE CHASE

You may remember Less Than Local, a Los Angeles-based brand, from their why-didn’t-we-think-of-that Make America Skate Again hat, or the bodacious Skim Milk x Angelyne collab from earlier this year. And of course you do, because memorable promotional videos (“MASA” was featured on chuckle aggregator Funny Or Die in 2016) are one of the brand’s strengths. The most recent entry in the LTL canon is “The New Bosses,” a 5-minute seventies chase flick masquerading as a “welcome to the team” video. Call it Two The Hard Way.

Ostensibly introducing new team riders Travis Harrison and Matt Harbin, the video has strong notes of Destroying America-era Jeremy Klein (right down to the white utility van). And, like Klein, LTL and co. are masters of their respective genres—Klein, as a drooling otaku; LTL as faux captains of industry… who kidnap their team riders—which makes this crazy-ass cheese fest a pleasure to watch.

If this appeals to your silly skate sensibilities in any way, chances are you’d be down for LTL’s latest drop, too (including art by a Berrics featured artist, Aaron Jupin. See below… and follow their Instagram for more:
