As you’re probably aware, Tampa Pro is going down at the Skatepark of Tampa this weekend. With 24 years of history behind it, Tampa is one of skateboarding’s oldest professional contests. This year, Leticia Bufoni is entering. She’s the first female to do so since Elissa Steamer in the aughts. While this is not a first by any means, it is noteworthy in that most pro contests these days have been broken down into male and female divisions. It’s going to be interesting to see how Leticia does against the men at Tampa this year, and if this will have any impact on competitions moving forward.
