LIZZIE ARMANTO INTERVIEWED BY JEFF GROSSO IN VANS’ ‘LOVELETTERS TO SKATEBOARDING’
Birdhouse‘s Lizzie Armanto has been at the forefront of a diversity movement that has taken skateboarding by storm in the past few years. She strongly believes that everybody should be able to skate—as long as it’s for the right reasons. In the latest episode of Vans’ “Loveletters To Skateboarding,” Jeff Grosso talks with her about women in skateboarding and where Armanto’s sensibilities lie in the gender discussion. She says:
“I’m all about feminism. I think that’s awesome: men and women being equal. But I think that using that as a driving force, and not doing that because you personally want to, is cheap. And it doesn’t feel real.”
