LIZZIE ARMANTO PERFORMS A PERFECT LOOP
Yesterday, Tony Hawk cleaned out his bird cage (aka storage space) and pulled out his famous loop contraption. Birdhouse rider Lizzie Armanto proceeded to bless it with a perfect loop (video below via Mike Sinclair’s Instagram). The occasion—”Loop Challenge Live”—was a live-streamed virtual reality event, broadcast from San Diego, in which Hawk invited several skaters to tackle. (Eight VR cameras were set up along the loop’s track for the 3D stereotropic broadcast… you know, one of those.)
Not that many people have pulled off this vertigo-inducing trick, with Hawk arguably making the move his own over the years. Having Hawk as her wingman really allowed Lizzie to take flight (retweet this).
