Luis Mora Recaps Rakuten Uprising Contest in Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan was once again home to some of the finest Men’s and Women’s skateboarding in the world. From May 26th-28th Pros and Ams alike gathered in the Ariake Arena in Tokyo for the first ever UpRising contest, presented by Rakuten.

As luck would have it, master lensman and Japan local skate scene plug, Luis Mora was there to capture all the action. Get a firsthand look at some of the local Japanese skaters jumping in the mix with the big dogs like Carlos Ribeiro, Yuto Horigome, Jake Illardi and Tommy Fynn in the Men’s Finals! After the dust settled, it was Japan native and Olympic Gold Medalist Yuto Horigome who walked away with the victory.
