Santa Cruz‘s Maurio McCoy is always up for a challenge, and this time he and brand manager Andrew Cannon dive deep into the all-new 3D Concave. Both skaters were given 7.75” decks—considerably skinnier than they’re used to—and timed in a series of random trick requirements. The combination of the 7.75’s shape with the 3D concave gives tricks a little extra oomph. Choosing a deck isn’t all about the width—watch the video above to learn why concave can make such a big difference.
