NEW ORLEANS’ DAVID MAGEE WAS GIVEN AN EPIC FAREWELL SERVICE TODAY

On Thursday, June 27, David Magee was shot and killed at New Orleans’ Parasite skatepark. The 22-year-old was well-known at Humidity, the skateshop where Magee was an enthusiastic and friendly local. New Orleans’ Lower Light Baptist Church held a service this morning, and, Humidity was there to see Magee in grand style: with a final push on the quarterpipe, Magee’s vessel performed its final trick. This is a truly touching tribute to a skater who was torn away from us too soon.
(Incidentally, Magee’s murderer was apprehended by the NOPD Violent Offender Warrant Squad. His name is Christopher Steele.)
