'New York Times' Profiles Wee Man In Latest Mag Issue

Jason “Wee Man” Acuna has done it all, and then some. The New York Times‘ Caity Weaver profiled the Jackass star in advance of the premiere of the latest film in the franchise—Jackass Forever—covering just about every facet of the 48-year-old’s career. And what a career! Wee Man has done so well for himself that he’s able to just drop everything and fly to Italy on a whim, according to the article. That kind of financial freedom is a dream goal for most, and it’s kinda crazy that he’s reached this point largely by putting himself in harm’s way like a fuckin’ G.

In a welcome change for this kind of mainstream profile, Weaver spends a lot of time focusing on skateboarding. Wee Man is actively teaching her how to do it during the course of the article, and it’s the basis for one of the most intriguing quotes of the piece—and probably one of our favorite sentences we’ve read so far this year:

“It’s the craziest thing…even going into a ramp, you lean all the way forward, because the board is going to catch up with you, no matter what.”

Read Caity Weaver’s profile of Wee Man at the New York Times Magazine site.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Wee Man and his Jackass co-star Steve-O on a few projects in the past year—check them out, below:
