The Ellington has been one of Supra’s most popular shoes since its release in 2012. But Erik always wondered what it would look like with a vulc sole. Now it’s here.
Take it from Ellington himself: “The Ellington was a cup sole, kind of a more athletic shoe that I had worked on. And after a year, year and a half after it was out, I was skating the Cubas, or the Shotgun, or another vulc shoe, so I was like, ‘I wonder what it would like like with a vulc sole?’ What I wanted was my shoe on a vulcanized sole, and that’s what we did. Basically, everything about the way the Ellington was—the upper of it—I wanted to keep, so there was nothing that was really changed aside from the thickness of the padding and stuff like that. Everything was kept from the original.”
