Nyjah Huston & Tony Hawk Appear In Olympics Commercial
As far as we know, the Tokyo 2020 games are still happening next month. And that means that skateboarding—the once reviled and dismissed kids’/grown-ass hoodlum activity—is getting one hell of an Olympics bump. Tony Hawk (a man who needs no introduction) stars with the odds-on street favorite Nyjah Huston in a new commercial that aired on the Olympics’ official YouTube channel this morning. (The Birdman and ‘Jah skating thru a deserted downtown Los Angeles late at night? You love to see it.) Skateboarding in the Olympics will be a monumental event—don’t miss it!
In the past couple of years alone, Hawk has produced a Broadway play, performed on The Masked Singer, debuted an apparel line at Paris Fashion Week, cosplayed as Santa Claus, has opened a Mexican restaurant in Newport Beach with a former Playboy playmate… let’s just say that the list of projects goes on and on.
